Construction Management (CM) Services:

Traditionally, most CM Services are focused and measured solely on budget and schedule with successes identified as projects that are on time and under budget.

Although those aspects are important, one aspect that is not considered to be at the same plateau by traditional CM Services is Value.

Budget and schedule metrics can be met by value engineering and eliminating scope, but scope reduction needs to be validated against the holistic impact to the client.  Another way of defining value is asking whether the final project met the goals of the client.

CM Services provided by dlb place an equal emphasis on schedule, budget AND value.  Some of the activities include:

  • Facilitator in field execution

  • Financial (first line for monitoring and approving payment requisitions, reviewing change orders, etc.)

  • Liaison between Contractors and AE Services

  • Monitor and report on construction activities including overall cost and schedule tracking

  • Construction documentation including multimedia

  • Coordinate onsite commissioning efforts

  • Primary interface for AHJ site inspections

  • Oversee that all work is being performed in a safe manner
